AN UPDATE ON THE WORK ON THE ROOF AT THE WATER STREET CENTRE

The project started on time with the initial set of scaffolding being erected during week commencing 27th June. Further scaffolding will go up after Bollington-Pre-School has broken up for their summer holidays.

The condition of the roof is more or less as expected, with some modest additional decay, particularly to stonework, since detailed investigations were last carried out in 2016 This is good news.

The good weather has allowed the contractor to crack on with beginning to take off slates in some areas and start insulating the roof before replacing them.

The project is still expected to run for around 16 weeks, finishing around the 21st October although inevitably this may be subject to change.

The project is being managed by Bollington-based architect Peter Skinner of Skinner Architecture Ltd. During the roofing project, if you have any questions, Peter can be contacted on 07885 236437 or at pskinner55@me.com .
